I am running NOD32 Antivirus on Windows XP SP3. When I run a spyware check with Shavlik's NetChk Protect 6.5 software (http://www.shavlik.com/netchk-protect.aspx), CPU usage for EKRN.EXE jumps up to around 50%. The same thing does not happen using NOD32 v2.7.

Any ideas on how to prevent this?

    Thanks,

    da

    Hello,

Have you tried excluding the application from being scanned?

    Regards,
