I've just tested latest NOD32 2.5 beta and latest avast! HE and they work great together. You just have to remove Web Shield when installing avast!.
NOD32 keeps an eye on your files with heuristics and signatures+IMON HTTP,while avast! works as second line of defense with it's own signatures+Network Shield. So far,no conflicts at all, even on detecting samples.
Also no noticeable impact on my machine. Dual Engine stuff rocks ;)

I split your post off of the NOD32 2.50.7 Beta - Comments & Opinions thread as it wasn't strictly an on topic comment for the thread.

    I'm thinking...

once the beta is over and the updates are no longer available to the guinea pigs/freeloaders... oops... "beta testers"... can't we run this combo for a reasonable period, say, 6 months to get GREAT heuristics available 'cuz of NOD32 and daily sig updates for Avast ??

    RejZoR ? any clues?

Some one once told me that following is "command" in "pHP" to "get your request noticed" and to "make it always on top"...

Yeah it should work that way. Although i'm not sure if NOD32 only stops updating on license expiry or it disables itself completely...

well, license expiry isn't hard coded IMO.
It's just that beta25/beta25 and beta25.eset.com will stop working AFAICT.
