    Hi!

I was running Nero Recode and it crashed. I tried killing it which didn't work and I tried shutting down which didn't work. So I hit the reset button. On rebooting NOD32 didn't start and the Windows Security Alert told me that NOD32 2.5 is disabled.

    This window then appeared:

and when I go into NOD32 I see:

Note that AMON is disabled and doesn't respond to the Start button. Rebooting reproduces the sequence described above.

    Any ideas guys?

Make sure your NOD32 service is set to automatically.
Try reinstalling NOD, this may solve the problem.

It is. I decided to restore an Acronis True Image backup. I now wish I just reinstalled like you suggested as my backups are Not booting on restoreing.

Having a bad computing day. The ATI issue is a bigger problem than the Nod32 one ever was!

I'm on my final image to try restoring before I decide to do a fresh install and change disk imaging program.
