    NOD32 6.0.308.1 not updating automatically

    Hello

    NOD32 is not updating automaticly
    OS: Win8 Pro 64-bit
    HDD: Samsung 840 SSD

When i update manual there is no problem it updates

When i start up the computer the OS is starting up very fast because i'm on a SSD drive. Also the nod32 icon in tasbar is there immediately.
I think NOD32 starts up to fast (and checking for updates) before there is even a internet connection established.
    Is that possible??

I have uninstalled Version 6 and reinstalled Version 5
After booting up the OS i see that it takes about 3-4seconds before the icon of NOD comes in the tasbar. And updates fine without issues

Do you mean that your EAV does not update automatically even after an hour after turning on the computer?

I get this as well Marcos.
It isn't a problem and is due in my case to the PC going into sleep mode and when woken up NOD32 immediately checks for an update before DNS is resolved. NOD32 recognises it can't update so flags up a problem.
I can either leave NOD32 to update automatically which it does with no problem or do a manual update.

All in all just a minor annoyance.

This is a KB Article that we wrote for customers using a dial-up connection. The way that it works may help in your situation as well.

This will help prevent NOD32 from trying to update before there is an internet connection but once connected, it should automatically update.

After an hour or so it updates fine.
Only when you turn on the pc the next day you see this error
My father is using the same SSD on his laptop with Win7 64-bit installed
He doesn't have that . I have check it in history logs, all updates fine installed
But Win7 boots up slower then Win8
It's possible you won't have it either if you install the OS (Windows eight) on a regular harddrive (also slower)

Let's hope they will fix this
