NOD stays online after update

Hi,
I am trialling NOD at the moment. I run Win98SE and Sygate FW. I noticed that NOD was showing through the FW as constantly connected. I turned off the auto update and all was fine. However, after doing a manual update the FW is showing that NOD is still connected to the net....shows NOD32krn.exe. Surely it should disconnect after downloading the update. The only way I seem to be able to disconnect NOD is by turning it off then on again

That is strange. I just checked my update procedure with NOD32, I saw NOD32KRN.EXE appear in the network activity list (Outpost pro) It stayed there for 8 seconds and then disapeared.

Maybe you have an infected NOD32? Surely you did download the trial version from eset.com?

 

Yes, trial downloaded from Eset....

 

NOD32krn.exe stays here al the time no problem further..
