I downloaded the 30 day trial version of Nod32 yesterday (12-23-2006) and I haven't received any new virus definitions today (12-24-2006). I thought that Nod32 was supposed to update new definitions at least once a day!? So far this antivirus is much more lightweight than my previous AV and I think Dragon NaturallySpeaking works better.

    Dictated using DNS 9.0 Pro.

Having NOD32 for a few years now, updates don't happen very often on weekends.

Edit- i just realized there was one today though(1937).

Thanks for moving my post (leaving a redirect) to the correct forum. You guys have a lot of forums, reminds me of another place. BTW, it's okay to remove the redirect.

Snowbound, thanks for the reply but I have not received today's antivirus definitions. How often does No32 update e.g. twice a week, three times a week, four times a week, five times a week? It is my understanding that new viruses come out every single day!

Dictated using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.0 Pro.

It regularly updates at least once a day, monday to friday and occasionally on weekends.

What does your event log indicate? Has there been attempts at updating today?

That top line for the 24 has an obvious different description. My eyes aren't that good but it looks like statisical info has been sent.

Have u tried to manually update today?

Snowbound, you are correct. The statistical information has been sent. I have done a search on your boards and I'm not really clear if you can "manually update" the trial version? I have tried to manually update today but maybe my eyes are not that good.
