I'm using Acronis TI 8.0 build 774 and was able to create an Image on my external AcomData Hard Drive. But when I bootup with the rescue CD and try to restore or verify the Image, the external drive is not a choice. I can't find it under My Computer or Nearby computers. Any suggestions. Thanks, Don

Switch to the USB connection for restore, but don't plug both in at the same time!

TI7 Rescue CD works fine with my external Firewire drive.

Maybe you can specify the chipset of the Firewire card (or the mainboard) your computer uses for the Firewire connection. E.g. my computer has an "Aopen MK79G-1394" mainboard with "NVidia nForce2-GT with Agere FW802A" chipset. This helps Acronis to build new drivers into the next TI build.

As a workaround you can use USB connection.
