My neighbor (who is running WinXP Home) finally got around to installing SP2 and immediately afterwards wasn't able to connect to the internet!

He called his ISP for support and their answer was to uninstall SP2... Surely there must be an easier and more direct solution to fix this type of problem.

Has anyone run into this issue? If there's a simple fix for this problem, I'd appreciate learning about it so that I can help him out.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll d/l it and bring it over to him later on.

What if that doesn't do the trick?

Thanks a lot for the help, I'll bring those progs over to him, run them (one at a time) and see if they cure the problem.
