Yes, I read all the posts that said this about the P35 before I made mine. I made mine because it provided extra information that I had not previously read here - that you could trash your P35-based raid array by using Ti10.

Even so, I am still a little puzzled by the "safe" version problem. Why does TI "safe" behave like this? After all, it relies on DOS and the BIOS, and the last real Ghost (2003) which also relies on DOS + BIOS (AFAIK) works. I'm not really expecting an answer, but it's a fair question.

I mainly use TI for backing up the OS, and I've decided to put in another (non-RAID) drive for the OS, so that I can back up the OS without putting the array at risk. Until Ti11.

It is a fair question and it does seem odd that the Safe Mode version of TI also messed up the RAID array. It could be how it interfaces with the BIOS or perhaps the BIOS is buggy (with regard to how TI uses it). I doubt TI Safe Mode and Ghost use the same "DOS" so just because one works, doesn't mean the other will.

The fact that I had the array trashed a second time just from working inside windows with TI nowhere in sight does suggest to me that there is something fishy with either the BIOS or Intel RAID drivers.

To be honest, TI "safe" doesn't look like a DOS program to me. There has to be a little more to this version than Acronis are letting on. Which would explain why Ghost 2003 works and it doesn't.

    In conclusion, we wait.
