    Hi,

    I am using TI Server 9.1 for Linux on a Red Hat derivate (ESX 3.01 server). Images are located on a samba share. When I try to connect to the samba share I am using the following command:

    Code:
    trueimagecmd --list --filename:smb://username:password@10.23.1.1/directory/abc.tib
    As a result I get this error message:

    Code:
    smbfs: failed to load nls 'unicode'
    Failed to open image archive
    My /etc/sysconfig/i18n says:

    Code:
    LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
    SYSFONT="latarcyrheb-sun16"
    Since I am not a Linux prof I appreciate any help. Thanks.

    Hello OOS,

    Thank you for using Acronis Linux Server Disk Backup software

    Could you please mount this folder using smbfs and try to open the image file using local path?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    I mounted the samba share locally and tried again:

    Code:
    trueimagecmd --list --filename:/tmp/samba_mount/123.tib
    I got the "failed to open image archive" error.

    Then I copied an archive from the mounted samba share into the local file system. I tried again:

    Code:
    trueimagecmd --list --filename:/tmp/123.tib
    And got the same "failed to open image archive error".

    Well, I think I found the problem. I had deactivated the ESX firewall. But it seems it was still somewhat active. I opened the ports for Samba as described in this document and it worked.

    Thanks for your help!
