nkvd.us hijacked Need Help

    Just so you know...I got this same hijacker...and yes it sucked...I got rid of it by running hjt...csShredder then a windows update (without accessing a the webpage) then rebooting reseting my homepage then running hjt again...it worked!

    I ran CWSHREDDER to get rid of the NKVD.US virus. Then I went in to the Registry and deleted a few more lines with nkvd.us in them. I do not know if it was of any value but before running CWSHREDDER I ran a program called EndItAll to close all resident programs. I had previously tried to remove nkvd.us from the Registry before using CWSHREDDER and something was writing nkvd.us lines into the Registry faster than I could remove them. CWSHREDDER works and it is free as of 04/09/04. Thanks to the programmer.
