This is an email I recieved this morning from Marcos at ESET tech support.

"The new update is going to be released shortly (est. within 1-2 weeks at maximum). It is being tested among thousands of users and it seems to solve a lot of compatibility problems. One of its new features
will be Internet filter which will block exploits made by the Lovsan, and Nachi or similar worms that used to cause remote computer restarts on NT systems. Also, the notification system will now inform you automatically about the exact expiry date (2 weeks before the particular license is going to expire)."

I am writing this just to update everybody on what is going on and the status of the next PCU Update.

I have found out through posts in the forum and by going to ESET website that if you go to the download section and download the commerical version of NOD32v2 as far as XP users go there is a difference in the file size from what is posted the size posted is 6.09 MB but when program is downloaded the total size is 6.32 MB. Once the program is installed it shows some modules as 2.000.8 and 2.000.9 . Iwas wondering what is going on as there have not been any posts from the ESET Moderators about this. They keep saying the updates will be available shortly. The download is coming from the sun server. I would appreciate a response from an ESET MODERATOR on this matter.

There is a lot of people who would like to know what is going on. I for one, am a little leary about 000.8/000.9. I think I have finally gotten my computer straightened out from the last time.
