I have 3.0 6210 smart security running on windows 7.

dont have the money to upgrade to version 4.

question is what I have good enough? what do I miss? is there an advantage to upgrade?

Upgrade is free if your license is active . All you need to do is to visit ESET's web-site www.eset.com/download , enter the download section and have your v4 .

i understand that. but for my information is the prior version with active virus updates still good enough. I just wanna know what one misses out on.

    or not.

    why upgrade all the time?

    thanks in advance.:ninja:

For as long as ESS v3 remains supported by ESET, then I suspect it will continue to receive virus updates and remain protecting your computer as per normal.

However, if you think you need any of these features, then upgrade to version 4.

For example, I chose to upgrade because I'm going to move to Windows 7, and I suspect v4 will have better support than v3, since it's newer.
Other bits I find useful: the ability to monitor network and file system activity (which aren't present in v3).

End of the day, it's entirely up to you.
