This weekend my NOD32 will expire.
    I have a v2.7 disc I purchased from NewEgg.
Can I just install it without uninstalling my present NOD32 and if so, will my present configuration transfer to the new one?

    Hello WWS,

If you purchase NOD32 on a cd, I believe you have to activate the software using the serial number contained in the box.

You could try an activation here.

    Thanks for that, Ronjor.

But will I have to do the configuration over again or will it transfer?

I believe it will ask you if you want to keep the current settings when installing. However, I would make a note of the current configuration just in case.

you don't need to install if you already have nod32 - once you use the activation code from CD to get the username/password, all you do is enter that username/password into the NOD32 and the settings are untouched - no need to uninstall or reinstall over the top or any such - just enter the new U/P

That would be great. I finally got the new U/P after a day of waiting for ESET to do system maintenance on their activation page.
Question now is where to use the U/P to keep all my present settings as you sugguest. Is this an option on the CD?

    Hello,

Open NOD32 Control Centre > NOD32 Update > Configuration. Then copy and paste your new Username & Password.

    hope this help.

    OK.
I put the new U/P in about 9 hours ago.
Updated, but NOD says I'm up to date with #2913 which I got over 32 hours ago!
So, I don't know if it's good yet.

Edit: Looks like I'm in. Just got #2914!
    :D
