    Welcome to Wireless Security

We'd like to welcome everyone, and invite you to help us get this forum started.

The Wireless Security forum is for discussions and questions related to making your WiFi network secure, and for all of us to learn about wireless security in general. This field is growing and changing dramatically, and we hope you will keep up with it here.

It is NOT for discussion of networking or wireless networking issues ... there are established forums for those topics. If you're not sure, go ahead and put it here, and we'll move it if necessary.

Our FAQ is in progress, and off to a good start. Please make use of it ... there's a link in the forum header. Your contributions to the FAQ are welcomed.

    Please enjoy!

Hi, regarding wireless security, on a recent trip to london UK, I picked up over 5 unsecured wireless networks in one street! It is important if you have wireless, to secure your network, at least hide your SSID from view and use a WEP code. This will provide a basic level of security to protect your network integrity.

    Nick.
