VirusBuster released new, version 2006 anti-virus products for Windows platforms

Customers can upgrade their current desktop, workstation, server protection and central management solutions with the new software versions.

New features in VirusBuster 2006 products

The most important improvement is that the new product uses incremental virus database update mechanism to keep the virus database up-to-date. The advantage of this method is that the program doesn't need to download the whole virus database file every time (its size is several MBs) but usually only a small additional database package including the virus signatures processed and released recently. Using this mechanism, the download time is decreased to a minimal level so we can release additional virus database packages several times a day to improve the defense.

    Other major additional changes include:
Several fixes in the Content filter module
The log messages are more informative and detailed
Redesigned and more informative virus found pop-up windows
Other minor fixes and improvements in the products
    Affected products
    VirusBuster Personal 2006
    VirusBuster Professional 2006
    VirusBuster 2006 for Windows Servers
    VirusBuster Central Management Solution 2006
