New Trend Micro IS 2006 Beta

I applied to be a beta tester for the new Trend Micro Internet Suite 2006, and I got my instructions e-mail yesterday. I'm planning on installing it today. Anyone else testing the new beta? Just wanted to get some thoughts on it.

Also, since you don't hear too much about Trend Micro in this or other forums, I'm curious as to how you would compare it to McAfee VS 10, or 9 or 8. The reason I use McAfee as an example, is because I'm using VS 10 at this time.

 

I tested today, please test it on a virtual machine! I didn't like it too much, the interface defenitly improved, but still it lacks detection, and the product looks unpolished at some points it's a pitty... But for a all-in-one solution it might be one if the better choises.

 

Hi StyleWarz. I probably shouldn't have started this thread. After giving it some thought, I don't want to install a another AV, beta or otherwise at this time. Thank you for replying though.

Actually I only tested this product to win the money... I need it for a new radiator for this winter

I installed the Beta package yesterday.

I normally like and prefer integrated security packages, but I can't STAND this product.

It really bogs down any Internet operation, and many system operations.

This product is just not ready, even for a Beta.
