Hi guys, I just installed look 'n' stop after trying several firewalls and was thinking on how to make a good configuration. I did a good search of the forums and found quite a lot of ways to configure the firewall that got somewhat confused.

I just need to know what I really need to make after a fresh installation of this firewall. I mean if I should install the EhancedRule set and how, where to get it and stuff like that, and if I need to install any drivers ecc. I'm not so good at this stuff but I really want to have a well configured firewall to have some good protection. And btw I am running behing a router.

Thanks in advance for any help guys. :)

    take a look HERE.

Initially, simply load the Enhanced Rules Set and you will be fine.

    Right-Click on tray icon > Open > Internet Filtering > Load > Enhanced RulesSet.rls > Open

Then you should have this rule-set in the Internet Filtering Window as shown.

Other help provided on LNS is also found HERE.

Thanks very much for the info, I'll try and see how it goes.
I saw other rules set like that of phantom. Are they good?

Yes, they are supposedly more protective and these rules may also be better if you use P2P.

However, on an up to-date, patched Windows machine behind a router, the enhanced rules-set, IMHO, should be sufficient.

But don't forget that as your router will filter out most of the inbound traffic, you may not see much in the log window of LNS.
