It does not seems to be annoying anymore.. and its faster than onld version.

    New GUI (Vista style)..

Also all ads are unchecked during installation by default.

Quite liking it and after unticking all places for it to check on the net it doesn't seem to phone home upon starting a song like WMP does.

Still playing around with it but at only a 14 meg download it seems to rival and maybe surpass WMP in some aspects ATM.

If you need Real Player to be installed but don't like the bloat and the ads, use the Enterprise version (download)
    :)

Wow! Thanks for the tip about RP Enterprise. In terms of disk space, it looks like I just went from over 37MB for RP 10.5 all the way down to .65MB for Enterprise. Can that be right? Am I missing anything important with this version? It doesn't appear so, other than the bloat. :D

With the original RP I have disabled tkbell.exe from initiating with Winpatrol.

RP adds a tab to download some Youtube vids which is quite nifty.

    Vista Ultimate.

See here (PDF) what remains and what is removed in the Enterprise version.
    Why Enterprise?

Thanks, lucas! I really never used those consumer features anyway.

"...all the consumer features are removed – including the radio tuner, the jukebox, visualizations, and the consumer content channels."

As for tkbell, I just deleted that entry from the registry.
