New partition not showing in XP with SP2

Have just used Partition Expert Personal version to create a "J" partition.
This is visible in the system and the space allocated shows as correct in the Disk Management Storage, but the new drive doesn't show in My Computer. How can I get it to show?

Has it been formatted with a file system (eg. NTFS)?

Thank you for choosing Acronis software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/).

After you create partition please make sure you have a letter assigned to it. Please navigate to "Start" -> "Control Panel" -> "Administrative Tools" -> "Computer Management" -> "Disk Management" and check whether the partition you created is seen there. If so please assign a letter to it. This will enable the partition in "My Computer".
