    E-mails are NOT chat logs.

    Thanks.

    Again, proof of what?

And let's see these emails. If MRG really wanted this to die, they would stop starting inflammatory threads on the Comodo forums.

People were not dispatched. Chris MRG came to Comodo forums posting inflammatory posts. This whole thing would be done with if it were not for him.

I was trying, with great difficulty :) believe it or not, to be polite and unoffensive.

The problem is that by making all these unofficial Comodo videos MRG has drawn attention away from the actually quite promising official stuff. They should move on and have no more dealings with the company and concentrate their efforts on testing products from vendors that are actually in a working relationship with them. This whole unsavory business has detracted from what was IMO an interesting set of tests.

    Hi,

Is the simulator which you used in March the same as the one which you used to test CIS v5 BETA in July?

    Regards

Again I give Sveta the benefit of the doubt: Proof of Comodo already has the tool. If Comodo staff admit in e-mails that they actually have the tool then such admission or confession would be the sought after proof that should settle this case.

    Thanks.

Agreed. Although I was annoyed with the way certain *people* were continually taking the thread off course I certainly do not consider MRG blameless, far from it. I just hope they will learn from their mistakes in the future.

    Hi TH,

Some of the applications tested in the project provide a default block on the vector we used in the simulator. If you look at the most recent results table, you will see for instance that Vipre passes this test by this method – eg, not by signature or HIPS alerts – it just protects the system against this vector. Prevx, Zemana, Rapport, Protect On Q also block in this way.

In this instance, where it is not a block by behavioral analysis, hips or heuristics / signature, it is less likely that the simulator would have been auto submitted to the vendor.

You will see that after a couple of days exposure, Prevx started to detect the simulator by signature. Clearly, there must have been some behavioral analysis conducted by the application / cloud and as part of this, the simulator may have been submitted.
So, it is not possible to say with any certainty if any of the vendors have the simulator.

We will however provide the simulator to the vendors after we publish the final report and close this first phase of the project.

    We will publish today.

    Regards,
    Sveta

By that you meant that MRG needs to have Comodo authorization in order to make video reviews of Comodo products. If that is true then there are a lot of unofficial video reviews on youtube and all these videos are taken away attention from the actually promising stuff, whatever stuff means. Don't you think?

    Thanks.

In that case you should all have replied to him and conducted your argument in the MRG forum, not here.

Why don't they make videos of all vendors software? They obviously are extremely biased. They brought this on themselves.

You obviously don't think it's a little strange that MRG pays so much attention to Comodo? If it was Avast they were attacking continually would you have the same anti-opinion towards Avast users and if they (the users) complained about unfair treatment of the product would you start making snide comments about them being fanbois or disciples of the CEO? There seems to be a lot of Comodo haters here who have their judgment impaired by their dislike of all things Comodo. By the way I guess that MRG are loving this! Lots of free publicity!

Just to set the record straight on my own position. I am not sent by Melih to cause havok I am only making my own personal comments on what I see going on. I am not even registered on Comodo forum.

Finally, I'm curious about the fact that Comodo have the simulator. I don't doubt they have it and I believe Sveta. However, if you follow the link Sveta provided to the MRG forum, where I am also not registered so I can't make a comment there, you will see Chris agreeing that Comodo have the simulator then he says:

"Ah, and wile I remember, I must point out that I contacted Comodo in April and told them they do not have our permission to use or distribute our simulator and they gave their undertaking that they understood this.

We can tell if anyone uses the simulator - and can tell exactly who they are, so It would be unwise for anyone to do this without our permission."

So my question is, if Comodo can't use the simulator how can it be of any use to Comodo? What is the point of them having it?

Simulator is something else, "tool" which "bypassed" comodo is another thing and Comodo doesn't have that.
MRG said they are willing to provide that "tool" to the third-party.

btw Melih sent me here, I don't think for myself, I'm a bot doing copy-paste.
    Tuts.

All I'm saying is that nobody can be surprised that the focus of this topic shifts toward Comodo if MRG are making a whole load of videos featuring that vendor.

In no way can the plethora of amateur home-made test videos on Youtube be compared to these by an organisation that aims to emulate the likes of AV-C.

We ?? Who is We ?
But I'm glad you realized that, you are very smart guy :thumb:

You got me really , I trust MRG with all my heart.
Thanks to them I now know that Melih has devil horns and that he's evil mastermind, providing so called Internet Security Suite which can be bypassed, that's pure evil.

SvetaMRG , please continue your good work and publish some results soon.
Can't wait to see them and I'll choose the product based on the results.
You're the best, I hate Comodo :thumb:

Yes I know but why do MRG make a point of saying that Comodo have the simulator?

Anyway, you are not sent by Melih ... you are Melih
