Not long ago it was an entirely(but with very modest as for commercial product results in detection).
Now there are 2 versions of Stop antivirus:Free and Commercial(something like Avast,AVG or Antivir).
So now we can include one more free AV to the habitual list:
    Avast
    Antivir
    AVG
    Stop
Probably, someone tested Stop and could share his/her opinion. How does Stop look like in the company of other free AVs?

Only TRIAL (that is NOT free):

В данном разделе представлены пробные (Trial) версии программных продуктов.

And I don't understand russian, but automatic translation:

"In the given section are presented trial (Trial) to the version of software products."

    Start page:

    That says
It's not the AV - and that's not free either, it's a 30 day trial.

Any new AV scanner isn't able to beat the combination "KAV + NOD32 + McAfee".
But it's fun to criticize any new scanner.

Just seeing the word "Stop" beings back convulsions of those aweful eAnthology products out a few years ago...disquised as good tools, but in fact, infected with so much ad/spyware, it wasn't funny. I think they called their AV product "Stop-Sign".

    Stop! with this Nonsense!

I mean it is not a very powerful AV, but it has nothing to do with Spyware!
This Stop! Engine is developed by Andy Karimov. He was working before he decided to make its own business for Kaspersky as Macro Virus Analyst. I know him very well (because we worked quite some time together). His Stop! Engine has it's origin from a so called 2-generation Entrypoint Scanner, coded in pascal. Works very similar to previous kaspersky versions - 16 Byte "firstcheck" Signatur (KAV has here 7 bytes) and "open end" 2nd Signatur, combined with a so called "FirstWord" match to speed up CRC scanning - offset depending.

So please stop to make wrong conclusions based on "suspicions"
