    From NeoWin -
Mozilla wants to keep the Google dollars coming.

As long as there's provisions within about:config in the Browser to remove newly added annoyances such as the items already cited such as Ad-tiles, there may be not such an exodus to other product as there is now.

Meanwhile I'm perfectly happy here with FF v27.0.1... before they began borking it up with all this annoying crap that culminated with v29, and only got worse from there. And until I'm given a compelling reason to change (being compromised) I'm standing pat. It's not only Firefox I use this approach with. I hang onto installers for solid versions of programs and use them as long as it's safe to do so. Very high on the ol' "if it aint broke" saying. I only update the addons and filters for ABE, and not even all of them, since in some cases the only changes since have been compatibility with Australis, which not only isn't necessary but may even fudge something up.

Firefox 34 release has been rescheduled from Nov 25 to Dec 2, 2014.
Firefox 35 release date was previously moved ahead to Jan 13, 2015.

There will be an additional 34 Beta 11.
Release Candidate goes to build Nov 24.

Edit: to correct Fx 34 release date.

Windows update version of Flash is only for Internet Explorer, you would need install_flash_player_15_plugin.exe to install it in FF, Opera etc.

mantra, that is correct. I received Firefox 34.0 via internal updater, however, as you can see from the Download In Your Language and What's New links, there's a 34.0.5 version coming. When? I have no clue.

Comparing Release Notes: Firefox 34 versus Firefox 34.0.5.

The only difference: Default search engine changed to Yahoo! for North America in the latter version.

everyone needs to be aware the newest beta changes whatever search engine you have selected to yahoo search as default. you must manually re select google or whomever and i delete the rest of the ones i will never use.

    hi
my searchbox is the same , same search engine google , i haven't search with (other search engines) and i haven't change settings

i guess it has changed only for usa ,right?

by the way , everytime i perform an internal update , the firefox folder is populated by many many temp files

Well the update to Fx v 34.0 ruined my search box. Could not add, change or delete any of my search engines. Found a fix in mozillaZine to go back to my previous settings. Thanks to the person who posted the fix there. Thought I would post the fix here for anyone who doesn't like the new feature or is having problems with it.

about:config - browser.search.showOneOffButtons - set to false and restart Firefox.
