    Yes, it could be one of your add-ons. Perhaps eliminating them one at a time, could help you find the culprit.

    That's why I always wait and post the Mozilla links after versions are officially released.

    Im seeing massive performance gains with FF 50 e10s over FF 49. Startup time is massively improved and there is no longer an annoying .5 second delay when loading content on a tab for the first time.

    Its as fast now as single-process FF in terms of everything, and of course smoother since the interface has its own process. Definitely impressed!

    I should note I'm using about 10 extensions and nearly half are shimmed- I think this problem (that many extensions caused FF to be much slower than with single-process FF) is one of the main reasons it was delayed for a week.

    sorry for the late reply.been very busy lately.here's a screenshot of what i'm trying to get rid of:

    i'd already read that ghacks article.it doesn't work anymore.i hope that the related boolean is back in ff 50.

    wait, 5 sec. delay?had you been having 5 sec. delay with the previous versions?that doesn't sound normal to me.i never had that.

    Please note the period in front of that 5 :p In other words, when I would open a tab and then click on a tile (about:newtab), it would seem to just pause for about half a second, then start loading the page. After that all other operations on that tab were fast and had no delays. It was also painful to launch, but I dont do that often.

    FF50 has basically fixed these issues completely. :cool:
