It seems like every time a new version of Firefox is released there is this disagreement. Like you I feel if Mozilla creates and populates the XX.0 version folder on their public FTP they have by implication "released" it. Yes there is some lag between when the files become available via FTP and when Mozilla announces the release and makes it available on firefox.com (and internal updater), but I don't see that as significant; they simply need some time to prep things. I do think it's best to avoid downloading from third party sites though, because there have been rare occasions where a beta/RC has been posted by mistake. On the other hand some people prefer to exercise caution and wait for the official announcement, or even a little longer for the internal updater; I say more power to them :thumb:

It takes a second to disable that crap, that's the first thing I do when I install FF:

If you don't like the annoying new feature Mozilla introduced lately that basically gather suggestions from all search engines at once when you start typing anything in the search bar, you can turn it off completely in order to have the old classic search back.

    1) Type about:config in the address bar then accept the warning if you haven't accessed the about:config page before

    2) In the search, type browser.search.showOneOffButtons

    3) Double click on it to set the value to False

    4) Restart Firefox

If you like to disable that plugin, you can, in about:config, change the value to False for:

    media.gmp-gmpopenh264.provider.enabled

Ok, now I have Firefox 35. :thumb:

I had to remove the "Share this page" button which popped up after installing.

    FF Search.png

Some search engines are re-enabled by default - folks might want to uncheck those that do not want for search.

    Finally, HPKP support :)

I also had a new Share this page button, but some of my own buttons, like from Adblock Plus are suddenly gone, noticed this on multiple PC's, and I can't find them anymore when trying to add them back.

I haven't lost any buttons yet, Adblock Edge is still there as well. Mind you, my Fx is synched across three computers, if that makes any difference.

BoerenkoolMetWorst, go to Tools > Add-ons. Each Extension should show an Options button; click that. Make sure that each Show in Toolbar option is checked.

If you haven't, look in "Customize." Perhaps the update put the buttons there.

I don't use the sync feature.

That's were I'm unable to find them.

I did, but it doesn't work, with ABP it is also unchecked again after restart and there is no Apply button or something like that. The buttons don't appear again and don't appear in the Customize menu either. Ghostery has it's own Options 'menu', but that doesn't load at all, it opens a new tab with the local URL to it's Settings file, but it is unable to load.

A couple of Fx upgrades ago I lost the maximise/minimise/close browser buttons in the top right corner. The only way I could get them back was to uninstall the persona skin and reduce the window size from full. This was on Win 7 x64. The version of Firefox on my Ubuntu laptop was unaffected. The upgrade before this one fixed this problem and it returned to normal. However, after this upgrade I have noticed that when opening a new page the buttons seem to blink and momentarily disappear for a fraction of a second. I don't know if this is related to your problem or not, but it sounds suspiciously like a bug to me. When the problem first manifested itself even starting Firefox in safe mode didn't solve it, which tends to suggest it wasn't a conflict with an extension.
