Security expert Peter Vreugdenhil from Exodus Intelligence says that the recent temporary fix Microsoft released to patch a memory error in Internet Explorer can be bypassed using a new technique. Versions 6 to 8 of the browser are affected.

Thanks, Dave. IE might be a decent browser now, but it's just too much of a target. With Elderwood around, it's just that much worse. I'm also glad I trialed out IE 10 Preview and found it worse than IE 9. That way I won't have to be bummed to give it up over security reasons. Disagreeing with MS on EMET, I don't think EMET is good enough to stop this stuff.
