it is working like a breeze here on my p3 1.3 mhz. no slowdowns. I installed it to see how it would perform on my oldtimer here and impressive results. OK, there are two processes but then again, no cpu consumation... cool.

    Thank you Fish.;)

I can't update the new version.

The rest, it seems very nice. Doesn't eat my pc...

    No, just that it's a 14 day trial. :)

This is a nice addition to the suite, this was definately one things i didn't like about the old version ;) :D

    Thanks

    Another question:
What files the "Realtime Protection" will watch? All the files or just the dangerous extensions?

Looking forward to trying 3. For some reason the old version went crazy today. Ewido Guard was at 100% CPU. Now I can't run 3. Can't get the update to work. Says automatic update in progress.

The 100% cpu usage is caused by the old updater and is fixed in the new version... The best thing is to try again in some hours :)

What is the shell extension that the Ewido v.3.0 installer asks me if I want to install?

Received Version 3 through Ewido Update. Previously, Ewido would show an alert if I changed my IE homepage so I gave it a quick test and no alert was shown. I read that Generic Hijack Protection has been removed in favour of a real-time scan of new dll's to check for hijackers.

So, do I need an additional programme to protect my homepage? I have Spysweeper which would do it and StartUp Guard from Ace Utilities but that means other programmes running in the background.

The update of the programme was remarkably smooth, two re-boots and there it was.

what it's the frequency that the Auto Updater check for new signatures?

    Thanks
