    WilliamP....as you can see ....I have merged your two threads concerning your new Dell PC. I feel instead of having 2 continous threads that might mirror each other after awhile....let's see how this one combined thread turns out.

    I went into set up and determined that my drive was regarded as Drive 5 and was off, so I turned it on. Still wouldn't work. I took the drive out of the carrier and jumpered it to slave. I didn't change the DVD drive. It is jumpered cable select and I didn't want to open the computer again. It is fine. Everything is working. If it's happy. I'm happy. Thanks for the help.
