PM Marcos for the link; it appears to be a beta.

    I have a home server running 2008 r2 and a desktop running windows 7 x64.

I always keep the latest versions of nod32 on both.
I access my Outlook PST through the network on the server.

When I made the jump from 4.2.40 to 4.2.58, I started to have issues with Office 2010 x86 specifically Outlook crashing at startup and lagging when browsing outlook folders.

After much frustration I realized that the only thing I did was upgrade nod32 to 4.2.58. So I removed both installations and the issue went away.

Now I have to find out whether the problem is with the desktop, the server or both.

Turns out the desktop can run the latest version but the server cannot.
4.2.58 and 4.2.64 are both affected with this issue.

You can install latest version on the desktop but downgrade the server to 4.2.40 and everything is fine.

Something changed in 4.2.58 and still exists in 4.2.64 that is causing this to happen with the Outlook plugin. An upgrade should not have this effect. Just imagine the frustration in thinking the problem is with the desktop client when it is infact with the server client.
