    Hello,
I have installed ESS4.0 on a network of about 150 stations.
Everything was ok,until a few days ago when I observed that the AV detected intrusions:conficker worm.
After that , on random stations apear the following error:
''an error occurred while starting proxy server.checking of application protocols(pop3,http) will not work''
whenever you click ok on the message box it will reapear!
I attached a jpg with the error.
I must mention that the update is ok.and no other setting then the initiall ones(made on instalation,a few month ago) were made.
    Thanks in advance...now...i'm waiting..

What build of v4 do you have installed? What OS is it? Have you already installed the appropriate hotfixes MS08-067 , MS08-068 and MS09-001 as well as changed admin passwords to non-trivial ones to prevent Conficker from spreading via network?

    Eset Smart Security 4.0.437.0
OS:Windows XP SP2 but with all updates done.
    Admin pass is a non-trivial one :)
The virus is already spreading in the network, the ESS is detecting it,sometimes removing it,but no use...
So,I guess the error message is from the worm?

UNINSTALL your current NOD32 + restart

then download the latest v4.0.467 of NOD32 anti virus or Smart Security

i believe the "minor improvements" will fix that =)
