network error

    HELP... I am trying to install eset smart security and have come up with the following message.

    Installer Information
    A network error occurred while attempting to read from file:c:\.........

    Can anyone help. I don't know much about the technical side of my computer.

    Please post the rest of the Error Msg as to what App folder this Msg relates to. From Googling the "error phrase" I've seen posts suggesting Windows Installer Cleanup Utility when one is dealing with a Re-Install or upgrade of a Software (Is this really the 1st time you've tried to install ESS?), OR even just Deleting a Folder(s) in Explorer.

    You're XP, Vista...which version of either?
    Any prior AV Definitely Un-installed?

    The more you state the better the "experts" (I'm not one) here can help you.
