Windows XP Home (sp2 - fully updated)

When I go to Add/Remove Programs.....I notice that there are 3 .NET Framework programs listed:

    MS .NET Framework 1.1
MS .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1
MS .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 1

Is the 3.0 version the latest.....and should the 1.1 and 2.0 versions be un-installed?

I ask because when I open up the ATI Catalyst Control Center....it lists the .NET Framework in the "About" tab as version 1.14322.2407.

Should it not list the most current 3.0 version instead?

    Thanks.

iirc installing .NET Framework 3.0 also installs 2.0. And 3.0 and 1.1 are separate. If you dont need 1.1, you can uninstall it.

I dont know about ATI Catalyst CC though.

Thanks. Is it RECOMMENDED to uninstall v1.1 or keep it?

Unless you know you're using a program that needs 1.1, I would uninstall it.

1.14... is the current version of the 1.1 framework, so you will need that.
Framework 2 (and 3) are NOT backwards compatible with 1.1 framework.
Framework 3 includes framework 2, but the 3 installer is smart enough only install the extras (basically extra vista functionality).

I would personally would keep only what you need (though there is no harm in having them all). So if you don't have any other .net programs apart from your ATI CCC stuff, you are safe to remove 2 and 3 .net frameworks.
