Need to remove w32.jared

    I've got this virus on my computer, downloaded it by mistake today. strangely i have symantec, and update daily, and still it didn't protect me. and yet symantec recognizes the virus. and it doesn't have any instructions on how to remove the virus. can you help?

    Hi,

    If you choose repair or quarantine the virus should be removed. If it cant be, then it might be running or in the System Restore folder. Can you show us what file was detected ?

    Also, please post a logfile following these steps. Thanks !

    it indicates i have a virus, which is high risk. it's c:\windows\winview2.exe, and the virus is w32.jared
