    Hi OTBulldog,

Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = res://C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\toolbar.dll/sa
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =

    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,CustomizeSearch = res://C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\toolbar.dll/sa
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

    O3 - Toolbar: &Search Toolbar - {339BB23F-A864-48C0-A59F-29EA915965EC} - C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\toolbar.dll (file missing)

    O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe

    Then reboot and delete:
C:\PROGRAM FILES\Toolbar <= the entire folder, if present

Did you disable the NAV BHO on purpose?

    Regards,

    Pieter

Both the Norton BHO's are meant to handle your protection against exploits and other nasties on websites.

    Click Start > Run > type or copy&paste RegSvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Norton AntiVirus\NavShExt.dll" >OK
to re-register the dll while all IE windows are closed.

To do the same for the NIS BHO the command is:
    RegSvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\AdBlocking\NISShExt.dll"

    Regards,

    Pieter

The log looked good now. The NIS BHO should logically take care of the Adblocking, but I am not 100% sure of that.
I will ask that for you.

    Regards,

    Pieter
