Ok I have looked further into that folder and these are the files there:

    calcu
    dirote
    kltye
    redroses
    demo.xt
    dordo
    kolder.exe
    romto
    dir32
    dorod
    niamx
    van32

Norton AV found a few viruses/trojans in that folder but he said it deleted them.

I would appreciate any help with this problem and log file.

    Thx

    Hi XPTEX,

If running, endtask dirote.exe in taskmanager.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [rn4d] C:\WINDOWS\System32\f0r0r\kolder.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\f0r0r\dirote.exe

    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.flingstone.com

Then reboot either using the Windows CD to get into the Recovery console or use bootdisks if you do not have a CD.

Once you are on the C prompt type these commands, each line followed by ENTER
    CD WINDOWS
    ATTRIB –R –S –H C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DORDO.SYS
    DEL C:\WINDOW\SYSTEM32\DORDO.SYS

Then reboot into safe mode and delete:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\f0r0r <= entire folder

    Regards,

    Pieter

Thank You Pieter, I followed your instructions (was not running in system process). But when I made it into recovery mode it wasnt long before the screen went black and the PC started beeping, 1 short, 1 longer seemed like and it just kept beeping until I removed power.

I need to tell you that I performed an online scan at trend micro and ran the stinger tool, it delted some viruses it said.

I went ahead and went into safe mode and performed a gov wipe on that f0r0r folder, I could not find dordo in the system32 folder but it was in the f0r0r folder. I booted back into normal mode and ran HJT:

About:blank is perfectly fine as long as it is really blank (some hijackers put their own content in there)

If you could remove the f0r0r folder then you have beaten it successfully.

    Thanks again Pieter

Im still concerned with not being able to run the recovery console. I can get into Safe mode and normal mode just fine and there seems to be no problem. I ran the Windows memory diagnostic test, on floppy, and it showed no problem with memory. Still when I get into the recovery console after a few minutes the screen goes black and there are continuous beeps of two different tones, maybe one shorter than the other. o_O

If anyone has any thoughts on that I would appreciate it.

Never mind on the siren problem, I updated the bios on this board (NF7-M) and that seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks again for the help on the other.
