    hey everyone,
    I have this virus called Bamital.BJ trojan and I don't kno how to get rid of it.
    It says it is in the APPData\Local Window Server\ckfgog.dll and everytime I go to that folder, it is already gone. It seems to randomly appear when I am using firefox. So far it seems like ESET is blocking the virus but the virus is still on my computer.
    I tried doing a full scan with ESET, Spybot, Bitdefender (Online scan), and Windows Defender but they found nothing.
    I even tried to google about this virus and I couldn't find any info.
    Does anyone know how I can remove this?
    Thanks.

    I am about to reformat if there are no ideas.

    I came here because I've got the same thing and this is the only relevant search result! AVG is detecting multiple instances in \NetworkService\Local Settings\Application Data\Windows Server and \LocalService\Local Settings\Application Data\Windows Server. When highlighted, many of them show that the Process names are some component of AVG, for example: C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG9\avgwdsvc.exe or avgemc.exe. The other ones are found in C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe.

    It started yesterday when Google search results would all redirect to shady ad sites. I usually leave uTorrent open to seed, and when I tried downloading a new torrent it would crash. Did scans with BitDefender and AVG to no avail. Hoping someone can help because this is really freaking me out. :doubt:

    * save data (copy documents, music aso., create image/backup...)

    * insert Windows-CD/DVD, reboot
    * format windows partition with that cd/dvd
    * reinstall windows from scratch
    * install all windows updates
    (or use a clean backup/image instead)

    * use a secure browser
    * install only programs from trustable sources
    * revise your security concept
    * change all passwords at trojan infections
    * dont work as admin
