Need for Adobe Air

    My wifes computer has Adobe Air on it. I really don't know what it is for ,or if she needs it .We keep getting a little pop up from the task bar saying it needs to be updated. If you tell it to go ahead Avira AV stops it.

    You would typically update Adobe Air with Adobe Flash Player. As to the notification area pop-up issue, see the folks at Avira as to why it is being denied access. Suspect something in the AV settings not configured correctly or update settings in the software.

    These things you want to update manually in lieu of updating in the background - that way, you are in control of your software.
