Should I go Nod32+ZoneAlarmPro+SpySweeper or is ZoneAlarm's antivirus good enough to just go with ZoneAlarmSecuritySuite+SpySweeper for on demand scan?

Either will be fine, and ZA AV/SS 2007 uses the KAV 6.0 engine.

Well I am not using a zonealarm version past 61744001 so I am hoping this information will yeild more definitive responses from those of you with experience. Any help will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

I don't think ZA started using Kaspersky until version 7, before that they were using the anti-virus made by Computer Associates. So in your case I would use the NOD32 + ZA combo.

Why? I've installed ZA AV 2007 (7.0.337.000) on dozens of computers and it works fine. As the previous poster pointed out v6 should be using CA's eTrust which has horrible detection rates.

Dead last in the AV-test.org review: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,2135053,00.asp
AV-Comparatives only gave it a 65% rating a few months ago.

I have read some bad reviews for post 6.5 releases of zonealarm and I am not using anything related to kav at all. When I used to use KIS the antivirus driver constantly crashed my computer when browsing and torrenting.

Well if you're considering pre-ZA 2007 then you would be better off with NOD32.
