If you want to spend money, try the CounterSpy or Spy Sweeper on set with Spybot-S&D and SpywareBlaster.

For free, use MS AntiSpyware with Spybot-S&D and SpywareBlaster... ;)

Spyware Doctor is very good, but not so good as CounterSpy, Spy Sweeper or MS AntiSpyware...

    Spybot is a good anti-spyware. :)
What about spydoctor? I thought it was a rogue,
but I can't find it anymore on the rogue list. :doubt: (see link in my sig).

I've all of the tools VaMPiRiC_CRoW suggested :D, except MS AntiSpyware and Spyware Doctor.
Was a registered user of Giant, but not anymore.

You can't go wrong with those suggested.
These a really excellent tools to fight the everlasting battle. ;)

    Found Spydoctor here. :p
Is it the same you're having, because it's a rogue.
Spyware Doctor isn't a rogue. A little difference in the name, that's all.

Good luck on your trials. ;)

These are just cookies, so I don't know why they would crash your OS. o_O
Maybe someone else knows more. ;)

And Spybot-S&D isn't only an AntiSpyware, but also a good utility to resolve some system problems... ;)

No problem, I should have expressed myself better.
Rogue = not to be trusted

Using those rogue anti-spyware could do more harm to your system then good. Some even come with spyware.
Reminds me of my first rogue 'Maxion Spykiller', so I've been down that road too.

Stick to the ones mentioned here and the trustworthy applications on that list. ;)
It's not first and certainly not the last time confusion will arise with those names.
Happened to me too at SWF. ;)

  11. I use Spyware Doctor it's a good anti-spyware program. It does a good job of removing spyware too, not just finding it. It's definitely not a rogue. Some say SpySweeper and CounterSpy are better, but I just use MSAS, it's free and it seems just as good as SS or CS, so far. But I also use many other pay and free programs to prevent spyware.
