NAS Scanning time question

    A friend/colleague contacted me with this question and I'm not sure how to answer him. Here is his question:

    I asked what version the guy was running and how it was configured. Here is his response:

    Other than maybe having the NOD settings set at Max Protection or something causing the scan to restart, I cannot figure out why this might be occurring.

    Any thoughts?

    Maybe they could set a size limit for scanned objects so that larger archives are not scanned internally which is a time consuming operation as every archive needs to be extracted to the disk prior to scanning.
