Tried to see if it worked on my comp ;) I used the final www in the chain to cut to the chase :D & even though i allowed the prompted Scripts & the FF Container Plugin, nothing bad happened ? Well, all instances i had open of FF froze, until i used Task Manager to kill Container Plugin, which did the trick :)

This could be one for Rmus as he's interested in Drive By's. I'll ping him & see what he discovers ;)

    @ MrBrian

Hi, maybe mysql.com has been cleaned up now, & i'm glad it has :thumb: But i think some of the compromised/malicious etc referral links, such as the one i visted, are still active ! I've PM'd Rmus the link/s ;)

    From the link:

I've just quit looking at these things. They are all the same.

Also, I've retired my old Win 2k system with trusty IE6, and have had a laptop for some time now that came with IE8, and none of the drive-by browser-specific exploits in the exploit kits are successful.

To get the Adobe exploits to work, I have to enable plugins, etc, and what's the purpose of that? Same old stuff. No fun anymore!

    regards,

    -rich

End of an era! But thanks for the posts in the past. They were really helpful, and not meant to merely show that "you know more than I".

All the best to you and the lappie!
