I have ESET NOD 32 Version 3.0.621, Windows XP Professional SP 3 This is source code of Delphi 7 project: program CPU_workload; var i: integer; begin for i := 1 to 100000000 do end. When I try to compile my project I recive from NOD following: Probably unknown NewHeur_PEvirus!!! May be this is smalled virus in one row?
You can either disable ESET while compiling or you can submit that to our virus lab. To submit a suspicious file to ESET for analysis, please follow the step-by-step instructions from our Knowledgebase article: http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN141
In this case, it's not necessary to send the file to the viruslab as there's no need to do anything more on their part. Simply add the file or the whole folder where the compiled file's created to the exclusion list.
Thank you for your hint. I so did on the my computer. But I am developer and my programs are used by a lot of users. I think, that it not very much pleasantly immediately after start of the program to see a report about a virus.
Hello, Try scanning your finished program before releasing it with ESET NOD32 Antivirus, and if the software is still identified, send it to the virus lab with a note that you are a developer and that a false positive alarm is being reported. You can also include any information you think would be helpful for them to know, such as what your application does, contact information in case they have any questions and so forth.
