Just wondering what's the possible cause of the hard drive was suddenly undetected by my pc.

I tried to re-set sata cable etc...and even clean the hard drive pin connector with pencil eraser but still undetected. I even bought a brand new sata cable, but still the same.

In Computer Management..Disk Management does the drive show? if it does, does it show as unallocated in which case it needs a drive letter assigning to it perhaps.

I checked it there but it doesn't show.

I was worried that it might got some damaged.

Can you see it in the BIOS?

No. It is not seen in the BIOS.

I was wondering if this motherboard problem or hard drive failure or cable problem.

I'd try the HD in another computer. If it isn't seen in the BIOS it is dead.
