I'm pretty positive I don't have any spyware or anything, but I think I have a virus of some sort. I use Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition (With latest definitions) on WinXP SP1. It detects no virus, but when I started my computer this morning the trayicon for Norton changed to an exclamation point for a moment (Virus alert). When I clicked it though, it seemed nothing was wrong. It has never done this before, either. And the fact that my friend had installed a program without my knowledge earlier that day increases my suspicion. So I was wondering if my AntiVirus software might just be a bit too old or not work well in WinXP SP1.

    Anyway, thanks for reading.

I just ran a virus scan in safemode and still nothing. I could just be paranoid. Doesn't explain the alert though. And the fact my roommate/friend installing something earlier, something illegitimate, doesn't help much

Nothing to be seen in the log.

Is there anything in Norton's logs?

    Regards,

    Pieter
