My god! SomeOne killed the chinesehacker-2 Monitor. Net Messagenger

    Hi,

    I am using GDATA 2011 Internet security.My Machine is XP SP3 fully patched.

    GDATA firewall in Autopilot.My computer is connected to the LAN. Yesterday suddenly I started getting the below popup from Messenger Service repeatedly from some PC on my lan.

    My god! SomeOne killed the chinesehacker-2 Monitor.

    I googled it and I disabled it by typing "net stop messenger" in CMD. Was this an exploit.

    After this I did a full scan of PC it shows clean.However I disabled GDATA firewall and got myself commodo firewall immediately.

    My question is should GDATA firewall blocked this in the first place. Is this something to be worried about.Should I stick to commodo.Will commodo also let this slip. :doubt:

    The firewall is very powerful has HIPS and sandboxing so you should be good.
