    Hi jim palumbo,

    Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    Then reboot into safe mode and delete:
    C:\Program Files\Common files\WinTools <= entire folder
    C:\Program Files\Htm Balm Log <= entire folder
    Then find C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and rename it to hosts.bak
    You should now be able to update AdAware. Run another scan after doing so.

    Can you tell me whether you installed this out of your own free will?

    hijack this AGAIN! Please Help!

    thnk you for your help before. unfortunatly i find myself back where I started. After following your proceedures, running nortons system works, spywareblaster, adaware and installing popzilla i was clean except for 4 files that only showed up when running nortons antivirus in safe mode. I used the onlie fixes and went into the registry and was clean. Now 1 week later i find 72 "at risk" files when running nortons antivirius in safe mode and it wont clean them. This is a brand new PC as of one month ago therfore there isnt anything i am not willing to delete to make this right. below is my latest HiJack this log. Thanx again for your help!

    Hi Jim,

    What you have is generally known as Zestyfind/Look2Me

    Download and install AdAware. If you didn't already, links to download and explanation are available on my site (in my signature)
    Then download and install the plugin as described here:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=206749&postcount=6

    Post a new HijackThis log when you are done to see if anything is left.

    Regards,

    Pieter
