My friend is worried about if a windows update installed ok.

    sooflymami, your first screenshot shows, under High-priority updates, that Windows XP Service Pack 3 was not hidden, so that's ready to install (need to checkmark it so the page can tell you its download size, prior to clicking the Install Updates button), should you wish to do so.

    In the second screenshot, under Optional software updates, it shows Windows Search 4.0, which is hidden. I suggest you don't restore this program, until after SP3 is installed. Keep in mind this is an Optional program and only you can determine whether or not you want it or need it.
