My Desktop is not responding!

    every time I start windows and Log-In a box appear in the upper left corner of the

    desktop "applying personal settings." It take few seconds and disappear.:doubt:

    This didn't happen to me until l updated to the service pack 3 recently. And after that

    my desktop is not responding at all. I can only access programs by clicking start menu.

    I can only use the desktop by resetting the process "explorer.exe" then the desktop started to work normally.

    Do any one know a solution for this?

    I think winlogon.exe has something to do with this.

    Hello

    Have you tried F8 (tap key during boot) > Windows Advanced Menu Options > Last Known Good Configuration?

    Menu looks like this
