As Snowbound mentioned in another thread, this is going to be a no win situation until the parents get involved. More than anything that's going to require getting organized and explaining why it's bad to have an infected computer. The links I provided earlier in this thread should help that.. did you get a chance to read those, cheater?

why don't you say you have removed some posts? it looks like Pete's waiting for an answer. can't someone remove this post and say some posts have been removed? incase you don't know, i don't know if the mods can see if posts have been removed, some have.

On many occasions posts are made by Admins\Mods commenting about removed posts. However there are times when comments are not left after a Mod post has been made to Please discontinue the back and forth bickering or they will be removed. You chose to continue with those off-topic posts and they were removed along with the other parties posts.

    said earlier by a Mod:
Any further posts concerning this matter will be removed without comment.

    I don't like this thread.

    I don't like the subject.

I don't like it at all.

I can be a funny person (i hope), but there are times, not often, that i'm angry, and this time i really am.

We are almost in 2006, and when i read this thread i think i'm in the year 1502.

My first and last addition to this thread:

very good his account is password protected.

    Period.

I was going to say in my last post, but forgot, do you really want to spend all your time cleaning up after everyone else? It seems to me like a much better idea to get the whole family involved in getting systems secure. This would reflect better on you, and it's always a good thing to get the family working as a unit on these things.

Well, i cant immagine that paid porn infect computer of their client o i guess you're talking about free porn. Then you are rigth free porn and iexplorer is a veryt dangerous mix. In that case i have a one word solution: Bittorent.

Find some way of introducing this wonderfull p2p protocol to your brother.
400% better quality and 1000% less crap/spyware. The problem will solve by itself ;) In about a month there will be no more spyware problem with your brother.

Now informing the whole familly is a great idea. I higly sugest some kind of real time monitoring such as nod32's IMON or the free MS antispyware. When you download crap and have the big red box saying you've downloaded a spyware / virus it'll somehow make them a bit more conscient they did something wrong.

Or you have the crazy approach (There was a big death warning in a thread about disabling firewall so this advice would be considered 400times worst, don't do it ;) ) ... do a full registry backup / maybee even a whole disk backup and install as much crap as you can. Set all services to automatic ... well show them how it is to browse the web with 8 different ie toolbar / 4 weather sidebar etc ;) They will somehow figure out why spyware are bad.... however use this as last ressort only

Seven month's later... You've had lots of time to resolve this, it looks like you're not doing anything but complain. A brief history...

There's no indication by cheater87 that he's taken any of the suggestions seriously or really tried to take steps to resolve the issue he claims to have.

Yes - and the spying little weasel is still sneaking into other people's accounts on a computer that's more than likely not even his. Disgusting. Pete

Well, I played doctor with my sister in my youth to find the differences.
If I had internet in those days, most probably, I would have visited the porn sites, because these girls are more pretty and sexy, than my sister or mother.
    So I can't blame your bro. :D

To porn surf or not to porn surf is, I suppose, a question of individual morality. There are larger issues such as kiddie porn and sexual slavery which are tangent here, but this is not a politcal forum so I will not encourage any digression in this direction. I try not to be judgemental about what I find on people's computers when I fix them.

In households where I have repeatedly fixed problems caused by porn surfing, usually by dad and the teenage sons but sometimes by mom, too, I have suggested that the computer be placed in an open area, in plain view, where there is no physical privacy. If this is done, the problems generally stop or are greatly reduced in frequency or severity.

God is indeed responsible for all your problems. After all He created mankind in flesh in stead of using metal or plastic.
Why didn't He redesign Adam and Eve in time after the apple incident ? :D

I understand. My trouble is that I'm not a moralist and I like any kind of humor.
So I don't have any limits, until somebody else gives me a sign, I'm going too far.
I never understand why I went too far, but I listen to avoid problems.
I'm lucky English isn't my first language. So being funny in English is hard for me.

Threads a little OT but ErikAlbert U misunderstood - there was no judging.

I'm sure Admins take care of such.

This really needs to be beaten out by the parents. Another issue is whether the parents have control. Could be one of the reasons for this behaviour. Anyway the boy needs to be tutioned regarding the outcome of being infected by spyware/adware, etc.

That's why I suggested Parental Guided Porn (PGP), but cheater doesn't really listen to us.
The spyware problem can be fixed, when his brother surfs with ShadowSurfer.
Personally, I think cheater is the porn surfer and uses his brother as a scapegoat. :)

  23. Really? You are pretty good at scarcasm and debating methinks. But English isn't my first language either so I could be wrong.

After 7 months I can only hope your brothers problems are somewhat close to being handled. As this thread has pretty much ran it's course....we'll close it now and await any further problem threads that may occur.
