Aren't F-Secure and Gdata AV's with multiple engines?
    Maybe I'm wrong o_O

Edited for lack of attention :]

    That's correct.
    They both have multiple engines.

I have used this before and it is very good, but remember to select "Detect only". It doesn't give you much warning when removing :p

But yes, it is a good tool to do an on-demand scan every once in a while, other then that if you aren't a risky surfer and have adequate protection, you're fine and you probably don't need it.

I have also asked the author if he will be adding more scanners and the reply was (just a snippet from the reply) "I should probably get off my ass and finish it" :D

I do recommend using it as a second opinion :)

So it's pretty much the same detection as using Avira alone. :argh:

    It looks interesting.

I normally upload any suspicious files to virustotal.
I found out that only uses the signature files of those companies.

So I plan to scan with aviva after that for its aggressive hueristics.

Whats the next best AV with good hueristics after Aviva
that I could use for on demand scanning ?
